Bulu Box Review 2014

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Product Description
Help reach your health and fitness goals with monthly motivation from Bulu Box! Bulu Box is the first health and wellness sample box. Each month of your subscription you will receive 4-5 premium vitamin and supplement samples to try within your lifestyle. Join the discovery and find a healthier you!
I have ordered Bulu boxes before and loved each one, I have found so many things and new brands that I use nearly daily. This box is no different it seems.
Use this link and you can get a FREE box today!
First look and what came in the box.
Body Glove Surge

I will start with the 2 go snack. I love hummus but it is hard to go from fresh made to a snack pack... I have tried a few now by different brands and this one is not bad. I added some cayenne pepper and it was much better. I would not recommend this over fresh but if you don't have fresh around this is much better than a few of the others.
These soft chews claim to strengthen your skin, hair and nails. The texture and taste are nice but with only one sample per box I really couldn't see if the product works. I was thinking of ordering more to see if they work but for now I am just passing. Please feel free to let me know if you have tried them and found them to work.

I don't use or need energy boosters but my fiance does so I passed this along to him.
I also passed this along to him since he uses products like this on gym days.
This, I was very excited for. I love gummy vitamins and I loved these. They are softer in favor and in texture than the gummy vitamins I am use to but I like them just the same. Sadly for me I do like to eat these as candy and my other vitamins suggest only 2 per day... these lovelies allowed me to eat 6 which pleased the glutton in me.
I saved the best for last, the Breathe Free pills are great. I do suffer from allergies and do prefer to use herbal and natural remedies so I was very excited to try these... lucky or unlucky for me the next day after getting these I was able to try them out since my allergies had gone a bit crazy. They worked like magic, I couldn't believe how fast it worked for me. Within two hours I was free of my allergies.
Overall, I'm very happy I was able to try the box again. They retail for only $10 a month and being able to find something that works so well make the box worth so much more... at least this month. The loser of the box is are the two items that do not fit me, I can not say if they are good or bad just not for me. The clear winner is the Rootology Breathe Free pills, they work very well for me and I have already ordered more.

Julep Maven April 2014 Box Review!

It is Julep time and I the Bombshell box... again. I am a Classic with a Twist... don't tell Classic on me. This month I have been so busy with packing and getting ready to move from Arizona back to Cali that I only just now got around to posting this even  though I did get this 3.31!

What came in this box-
Kayla: Electric iris sheer with violet sheen
Tatum: Neon chartreuse chrome
Glow Blush: Peach Bellini (customizable)
Add ons-
Jet: Jet black crème
Brigitte:  Bright white crème
Here is the lovely blush, I sadly have get to use it but it looks great for spring. I love the package and after seeing a few swatches I am very excited to use it. I will update this post with pictures once I use it.
I went with bombshell this month for the purple polish. The swatch of it was lovely and I had to have it! I
It is a sheer polish and as it claims it sure it, in this picture I have 2 coats.
The green polish is less sheer, here again I used 2 coats.

Overall, I like the colors and am very excited to try the blush. Kayla is a little different from their swatches but Julep is known to have over worked pictures, it is still a lovely color. The winner is Brigitte, it is a great creme white.

If you too are a maven what did you get?
What did you like the best and how did you feel about their blush?

I have mentioned that I have psoriasis before...
I don't like to talk about and hate to have people see it but I had a chance to try some shampoo recently that really seemed to help me so to hopefully help others I am sharing these two pictures.
Scroll down to see the before and after pictures and my review.

I used the shampoo starting on Feb 26th 2014 and the after picture below is from March 31st 2014. I am still using it and am seeing more change every day.

I started by washing 3 days in a row with the shampoo then switched to every other day.

I have used a few different types of medicated shampoo but usually and recently just have been using tar shampoo. If you have used tar shampoo (or menthol or tea tree oil) you know it stinks and leaves your hair feeling a terrible. I didn't use conditioner when I first tried it I wanted to see how this shampoo left my hair and it really did leave my hair feeling soft as it claims, I was able to brush my hair while wet with no problems. It says it has a peppermint scent but I couldn't really smell it which I was perfectly fine with. It was so moisturizing to my scalp also, I always had pain at the top of my neck since I was so dry and was uncomfortable when trying to sleep but that went way after 2 shampooings. The dandruff and my skin started to lightly clear up after about 5 days, 4 shampooings.

The only thing I did along with using this shampoo was cut tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers out of my diet since they are the not best for people with psoriasis, sadly.
That all being said you should always talk to your dermatologist and doctor before trying or changing anything that could affect your condition. This worked for me though it may not work for you the same way since we are all different.

Here again are the picture side by side so you can see the change.

If you would like me to talk more on my diet and things I do to help control my psoriasis feel free to leave me a comment or send me a message, I'd be happy to share and try to help.

If you'd like to try this shampoo you can find it on their site at
Use Promo Code: MJ613 to save 10% on your order.
You can also find it on on amazon at

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

DIY Manicure- Rainbow Flower Stamped Nails

As I have mentioned before a nail art group I am in on facebook (found here, join us!) does a weekly challenge, this week is rainbow inspired! I didn't know what to do for this challenge but I did know I wanted to do something with flowers since it is spring. I painted a rose by hand but didn't like it so I started over and took a look at my stamps. I bought a Pueen set a few months ago that I hadn't really used much of so I wanted to use them. I had Yellow Submarine on when I saw this flower design so boom I knew what I was doing!
 All I used-
White on White by China Glaze
Rose, Nina, Abbie, Hoch, Monaco, Eloise, and Gayle by Julep
Fast Dry Top Coat by Seche Vite
Nail Art Crystals
Pueen 102 Stamping Plate
Hope you enjoy, thanks for stoping by and taking a look!
Give it a try and post it on facebook and instagram using the hashtag #LanieBuck & my tag @LanieBuck so I can see how they turn out!
