Product Review- Mua Fabulous Everyday Star Cream

 


I received a complimentary tube of Star Cream by Mua to try and review.
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. 
It is a Korean product that is recommend to those who-
 lost vitality and energy of the skin due to lack of nourishment
tired from harmful external environment and stress
has dry skin with dehydration
worries about rough skin texture
wants low irritant product.

Recommend how to use-
In the morning and night, after using the toner, use 3-Ball applicator to massage the forehead, eye, mouth, chin, smile line area by rolling the product. Apply to the area where the wrinkles can be easily formed.
First look of the tube fresh out of the box.
 
 And first look of the product. It was fresh with a very light almost not there scent, no color or dye and light weight on also. Ten seconds after massaging it in I couldn't even feel it on.
1 month before using.
 It gently softened and moisturized my skin, most noticeable around my eyes.  It did seem to reduces the lines under my eyes, and so far seems to slow down the process of getting more. The coolness from the rollers are also very nice and soothing while applying the cream, the cooling effect seemed to reduces the morning puffiness I have.
3 weeks after using.
I don't have many lines other than the ones under my eye and I did notice a difference after the first 2 weeks. Please keep in mind your outcome may be different depending on your habits and health.

It has been a month now of using it and the tube is just now reaching it's end, the tubes retail for $14.99 on their site which I think is a fine price for the cream and I did notice the they do have sales from time to time. They also have Wish Boxes if you wanted to try a few products and samples at one time. Overall, this product is a winner to me and I do plan on buying more for myself.

Fred and Friends Gingerbread Cookies Skeleton

Gingerbread Cookies Skeletons
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 tablespoon ground ginger
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
2 large egg
1/3 cup molasses
1 1/3 teaspoons vanilla

White cookie icing

This is the cutter/stamper I used on my cookies.
Yields roughly 16 cookies.

Directions-
 
Preheat oven to 375 deg.

Whisk together in a small bowl or your mixer flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves until well blended.

In a separate bowl beat butter, brown sugar, and egg on medium speed until well blended.
Add molasses and vanilla and continue to mix until well blended.

Gradually stir in dry ingredients until blended and smooth.

Divide dough in half and wrap each half in plastic and let stand at room temperature for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
(Dough can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, but in this case it should be refrigerated. Return to room temp before using.)
Grease or line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Place 1 portion of the dough on a lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle flour over dough and rolling pin.

Roll dough to a scant 1/4-inch thick.
Use additional flour to avoid sticking.

Cut out cookies with cutter.

Space cookies 1 1/2-inches apart.

Bake 1 sheet at a time for 7-10 minutes (the lower time will give you softer cookies or am using darker sheets).

Remove cookie sheet from oven, stamped them with the other side of the cutter and allow the cookies to stand until the cookies are firm enough to move to a wire rack.
After cookies are cool you may decorate them any way you like.
Eat and enjoy!

DIY Crafts- Christmas Holiday Lights Earrings.

I saw these little buttons at Micheals and thought they would look too cute as dainty holiday earrings. I thought they might be a little cheesy but on they are just lovely, super cheap and easy to make too!
What you will need-
Holiday light buttons
Pliers 
Ear wire
I made a couple for myself with different ear wires to match a few outfits and one for a friend's little girl. You can find these and the buttons at your local Micheals/crafts store or online.
Start your earrings by opening the ends with your pliers.
Slip the button on the wire and close the ear wire with the pliers again.
Wear them and enjoy!

DIY Manicure with Tutorial- Silver Foiled Roses

 I recently bought another MoYou London plate, I am obsessed with these and sadly (only for my wallet) they release new ones every Friday... anyway this is my first manicure with the new plate!
 What you need and I used- 
Brandt by Julep/  black polish
Mother Nature Plate Collection 05 with stamp by MoYou
  Twinkle Twinkle by Sally Hansen/ glitter polish
Top Coat by Seche Vite/ favorite top coat
 Start applying a thin coat of your top coat, a clear polish, or base coat. Just before the base is dry rub the foil over your nails. 
Don't worry about it being neat, you are going to stamp over it.
 Apply your glitter polish to your thumbs and ring fingers.
 Next using the stamp plate pick up some roses from the bush design and stamp it on your middle fingers. 
Apply the design from the base of the fountain to your index and pinky nails.
 Apply your top coat and you are done!

DIY Manicure with Tutorial- Balloon and Glitter New Years Nails

 What you need and I used- 
White on White by China Glaze/ white polish
Brandt and Catrina by Julep/  black and yellow polish
Bzzz Bzzz by Starrily/ black and yellow glitter polish
Top Coat by Seche Vite/ favorite top coat
Nail art brush

You can do with your own color scheme, I wanted to try out Bzzz Bzzz from my latest Ipsy bag and I think black and gold are very big colors for New Years celebrations.
 To start apply Brandt (black) on index and pinky nails and White on White (white) on the rest.
 Apply Bzzz Bzzz (glitter) on thumb and ring fingers. 
I ended up applying the same on my index and pinky over the black. Go big or go home, right?!
 For the balloon on the middle finger start by making a half moon with Catrina (yellow) starting at the base of your nail.
 Again with Catrina (yellow) and using your nail art brush make a small triangle in the center of the balloon then with Brandt (black) make the ribbon for your balloon.
Apply your top coat and you are done! 
If you feel up to it you can also add the year to your balloon.

Inspired by Nails with Tutorial- Cookies for Santa


 A few ladies and I have a weekly challenge on facebook for nail art, this week's challenge is holiday cookies so I went with chocolate chip cookies for Santa. I also am obsessed with my Santa beard wrapping paper  so I added that to the mix :)

 What I used-
 Rose Garden Romance by Pomegranate- Red polish
Blanc by Essie- White polish
Holiday Rebel by Sinful Colors- Holiday glitter
Sophie by Julep- Light brown
Riff-Raff by Jesse's Girl- Dark brown
Start by painting your ring finger and thumb white and index, middle and pinky red.

Apply your holiday glitter over all nails but the middle finger.
With a nail art brush or polish draw the white mustache part of the beard on the middle finger.
Draw a line with the same brush and white polish for the mouth slit of Santa's beard.
I drew an outline to help me with the beard.

Fill in the outline and add a red crystal for the nose.

Apply a topcoat over the middle nail to make sure his nose doesn't run away.
You can stop at this step but if you want cookies please move right along.

Take a brown polish and using a dotting tool or the end of your polish brush make a few circles for the cookie base on the index and pinky fingers.
Then with a dotting tool or toothpick make a few dots with a darker brown polish for your chocolate chips.

Done and done!
